Filipino-American filmmaker Ramona Diaz’s new documentary THE LEARNING follows a group of four Filipino schoolteachers who have migrated to Baltimore, Maryland, to teach in inner-city schools. Look for the film to hit in 2009 in an Asian American film festival near you. Previously, Ramona did a documentary about former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos entitled “Imelda – Power, Myth, Illusion.”
